Biggle, I don't get why you chucked an 8 instead of a 2 on the first draw? What if one the villains had check/called the turn but stood pat? A lot of bad players would play a hand like 97543 this way, no? I'd rather have the option to draw 1 to an 8732 than have to draw 2 to a 732 if my gig is up.

Probably a very minor point in that is an uncommon parlay, but I just don't get what keeping the three deuces accomplishes, unless you are considering showing for some effect?

I think this is exactly what Badugi was getting at.

That's half of it. The other half is that if someone decides you're snowing and calls with a pair of fours, you'd like to win.

Why is it called snowing in TD, as opposed to bluffing?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm no TD expert, but I believe that a snow requires standing pat without a pat hand in addition to actually bluffing.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I've heard it in relation to all the 5card draw games, always with regards to a hand that involved staying pat in hopes of bluffing rather than drawing and trying to improve the hand.

I assumed the idea was that the 2 didn't go back into the muck for someone else to catch, but it seems there aren't enough cards for that to be an issue.

Walrus had been pretty awful (drawing 2 all the way multi-way against a pat hand and 2 1-cards then firing out a 5678x hand on the river, defending every blind). He had been pretty tight on the river even though he drew rough in terms of being bet into, but mostly this was a tilt bluff at a bad session
