100NL: Is this worth a river bet?
Villain hasnt been sat down long, and is unknown. I am at 18/11.
I C-bet the flop and was going to fold to a turn bet, but his check behind threw me, what is his range here? Tried a bet on the end to see a cheap showdown, raise made it an easy fold. Should I be c/f river? Re: 100NL: Is this worth a river bet?
You should be firing a second bullet here. $19ish on the turn.
It's going to be hard for him to call again w/o a boat or a J. There are man reasons for this, mainly, you can easily have a J or an overpair and also the prospect of him having to face antoehr barrel on the river is scary and will often deter him from making a call here on the turn w/ lots of hands. As played the river bet is pretty bad. 77, 88, 99 very well may have folded to another bet on the turn, however, they certainly aren't going to be folding now. You need to ask yourself before you make this river bet, what hands that are worse then mine are going to pay off? Do I stand a chance to fold out any better hands now? |
