As a writer, you must know that 90% of any article is immediately forgotten by the reader.

Only the 'gist of it' remains in memory - thanks to (as every politician knows) the soundbite. It is usually the closing statement that sums up the whole thing.

Your closing soundbite was 'go for it'.

It didn't actually sum up your post, but you've only got yourself to blame for making people think it did.

I personally would like to thank DS for taking up the cause of Asperger's Syndrome awareness. He obviously cares about this issue, and the 2p2 community. Defeating Asperger's Syndrome in the poker community is much more worth while then the futile attempt to hold a cheating poker site accountable!!!

ps - I doubt Sklanksy has anytime to use his celebrity to enlighten the broader online poker community to the "increased risk" of playing at Absolute. He is probably starting another thread at this moment in an attempt to reclarify his tone as actually "good enough" damnation of Absolute to a community that knows this scandal more than any other subset of players.

He suggests that we all temporarily change our avatars to ones that depict the "Absolute Poker cheating scandal". He encourages residents of Costa Rica to take photos of the perpetrators, their offices, and their homes, and post them on the internet. He suggests that observers at AP chat about the cheating scandal. He helps identify TV networks and websites that accept AP advertising. He provides leadership.

Apparently he is way too smart to lead us on this issue. If we don't see his POV, or agree with his lack of actually accomplishing anything toward holding AP accountable, we obviously have some sort of mental disability. But lets not let his advice for the 2p2 community to get tested for mental disabilites "MORE THAN MAKE UP FOR", his lukewarm assertion that AP officials are lying or morons. Hey heres an idea David, maybe the management at AP suffers from Asperger's Syndrome, and have missed the tone of the community enraged with this scandal. Maybe we cant really blame them, but have to help them get tested, and we can once again play on their site.

-- Let me clarify my tone in this post. In summary, I think Sklansky has spent more effort condemning the 2p2 community than he has actually of AP management. How an intelligent person allowed that to happen is beyond me. Maybe he is just misunderstood.

Let me spell it out. My post basically said that even if AP totally cleaned house, the remaining management is marked as totally incompetant, at least as far as analyzing poker hands is concerned, or dishonest enough to try to cover up other's wrongdoing. I also said that colluders will continue to have a field day there until they install collusion detection.

Yet some of you think that my remark that you should "go for it" if you think its profitable (while remaining extra vigilant), since a boycott would be unsuccessful, MORE THAN MADE UP for the other words, in the mind of AP's management.
If you are one of those people there is something inside your head you need to fix.
