Do the authors of 2p2 actually play nowadays?
How often do the authors of 2p2 play?
I've never heard of Sklansky playing online or any of the other regular magazine authors. Do they not practice what they preach? Do they play offline? Or are they just not as addicted to poker as the rest of us and only play every so often Or is it that they care a lot more about theory than practice? I mean no disrespect to any of the authors. I'm just curious

I don't think they play online much, which doesn't really matter one bit. The other main authors also play both online and off - why do you think they don't? I don't get where your attitude is coming from in this and your other post here about the look of the place. There is a treasure trove of information here if you give is a chance and read before you speak.

and for the 2nd part: i can't make a comment without personally offending people. i was just asking a f***ing question. i know they're poker legends. and the fact that they don't play online doesn't mean a thing. sorry if i hurt your feelings sheridan (sarcasm)

Hmmm, I know I've seen him there in the not too distant past, but I only tend to get out there four or five times a year - often when tournies are in swing, so I've gotten lucky.

I think S&M underestimate the usefulness of playing online, to give them better insight into what everyone's talking about and who is buying their books. I can't imagine they would be able to recognise flaws in the books from Stoxtrader or the new SNG one, or any of their future works. They'll need to hire outside editors (Miller and Schoonmaker do alright for now, I suppose).
