A couple stud hands (after reading SS1 section on stud)
So I'm reading the stud section in SS1 and I have to say wow. It really helps me see how to properly play certain hands, and It seems to work when in practice. Here are a two hands in particular that I'm questioning if I played them according to Reese.

I onyl read the 1st hand. Your 5th/6th street play makes no sense. You check 5th and then lead 6th. Just bet them both. Or if you check, get a raise in somewhere.

First hand I check 5th knowing he would bet into me, and by just calling it says I don't have trips, in which I can get more bets in 6th and 7th. In SS1 section on trips he advises to check/call till 5th where you want to then play them fast, which I may have been able to check raise 5th instead of called, but I got him calling 6th and 7th bets believing I didn't have trips.

[/ QUOTE ] Again in Hand two I want to get 2 bets in here to get others out of the pot, I check knowing he will now bet thinking his decent premiem pair is good, therefore I can get 2 bets in. Hand 3 is def not a fold on 3rd given a flush and a Queen out. I call 4th because now I have a 3 flush with two good outs.

[/ QUOTE ] well at least raise 6th then if you are going to get tricky. 2nd hand I bet out 4th. I dont remember the 3rd hand ( 1 hand per post is easier). The 4th hand you do the same thing as the 2nd...I don't get all this raising then checking the next street. The free card play didnt work, but you still could have the best hand. If you think you have the best hand bet it. If you don't think you have the best hand, bet it anyway so villain thinks you have the best hand! A lot of people are going to give up on 5th. If he calls 5th then you can consider slowing down. Ok, I looked back at the 3rd hand. You can strongly consider folding 4th. There are a couple spades dead and one of your queens came out.
