Default 4/8 - Hero holds xx

Villain is running at 24/19 over a decent sample. He's a reg, most likely solid and winning.
Hero is probably viewed as a solid, winning player. Aggro in good spots. Running at 18/15/4.

No history between us. The coldcaller is 24/15.

Hero ($816.00)

BB ($1445.90)
UTG ($499.68)

Preflop: Hero is Button with xx.

1. What range do you continue with in this spot?
2. Would ever call any hand? AA? KK?

Shove AA/KK. Calling isn't really sensible because it's almost half your stack, might as well get it in now. QQ is sometimes shove, sometimes not, I would probably lean towards folding. AK I dump here fairly easily.

QQ+, AK. possibly JJ/TT and AQ depending on timing.

edit: never calling.

I might be able to accept QQ/JJ, but you really can never, ever move in with TT here, and next to never AQ.

Fwiw I think it's a crime folding AK here vs a solid player. I was more looking for how far down we could psuh with PPs. I discussed this hand with a friend and my opinion was that pushing AK/QQ+ is correct and calling never makes sense, but my friend disagreed with both.

are people not noticing that this is only 100bb? i think TT+/AQ+ is reasonable as a default (ok maybe not AQ) and will happily go wider with more specific reads or appropiate circumstances.

basically if you're not happy to get it in then don't [censored] squeeze (obv does not apply to total junk)

yea i think if you are folding AQ and JJ/TT to a shove you really shouldnt be squeezing.

Fair point, still doesn't make sticking it in with TT when we are confronted with this type of spot correct.
