I've heard of companies that somehow buy every single number in a lottery once it becomes +EV to do so. I'm not sure if the annuity is +EV at the moment (~ 1:175,000,000) on a $325,000,000 jackpot before taxes, or if it would be worthwhile to buy out a lottery for an annuity payment, but I'd like to know if these companies exist.

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought lotteries were never +EV

It seems like it would have to be like a trillion dollars to offset taxes plus the possibility of splitting the prize 67 ways.

woah i gotta get a ticket. Whenever the jackpot gets to like 250 million i buy 5 bucks worth.

I was so confused at first, because there was a powerball winner like 2 days ago for 314 million. thought you were all behind a bit.
