Stupid IPOD Question...

So I just "synced" my Ipod by accident, and now whenever I search for a song on my Ipod through "artist", for some of the artists, it only shows one of the many songs I have on there.

For example, if I search Ben Harper, I only find one of his songs under his name, even though I have many...

However, if I use shuffle or search by song, all the other songs are there. So they show up in soms searches, but not in others

Anyone know what I did to screw up my Ipod like this, and any easy ways to just get it back to normal and the way it was before? All I want is for it to just copy the damn songs and playlists that I have in my Itunes...stupid apple
