I don't think that's a judgement vs Limit tourneys - wonder if he feels the same way about NL ring games.
I gotta admit, I've been paying a lot more attention to tourneys then limit holdem - it's sorta more entertaining - some folks like the competition factor more and the fact a guy can come in 1st appeals to a winner's instinct more then "it's all one game" and "1.5 BB/hr is a good return for your money" RB |

Limit is more about waiting on great starting hands and being aggressive with them and hoping they hold up. No limit is more about putting your opponent on a hand, then using this information to extract more $$$ or push them off, depending where you fall.
If you like to wait for big hands and playing a mathmatical game then limit will be your game. If you like a more psychological game the no limit if for you. Personally, I like shoots and ladders. Now there's excitement. |
