Default Re: Gold\'s Gym screws me

when i signed up there years ago, the sales guy said "and the great thing is you can just contact us at any time and we'll freeze your membership."

so i had my membership so about 2 years and needed to freeze it for some reason. i called them up and told them and they said i needed to put in writing and then it would take 30 days after the next billing cycle and then i would be charged $10 per month for the freeze. nice.

so instead i cancelled my membership in writing by certified mail and in it explained that i was cancelling because i originally wanted to freeze my acct but it was too expensive to freeze it and they had too many hoops to jump through so they were losing me as a customer.

the next day they called and left a message saying they would freeze it for free right away if i wanted. i never called them back hoping they would charge my acct again since i was so pissed and had all the evidence i needed to raise hell.

24hr Fitness hasn't given me any problems. I think I pay $30/m.
