Default speaking of stud tourneys....Live ones at the TAJ

I just saw the schedule for the US Poker chamionship at the Taj:
http://www.trumptaj.com/index.cfm/nodeID...on/content.page

They are running a few $300 and $500 stud tourneys. I am thinking of trying to get up there for one.

Might be tough to hit the $300 Wednesday ones though with work, which sucks since I would rather flush $300 +40 down the drain than $500 +50

Thanks for the info on this.

I had been considering going up to Foxwwods for the World Poker Finals in late October-early November to play a couple events, but the US Poker Championships may be even better for me scheduling-wise.

The 7 card stud events at the World Poker Finals are on Mon, Oct. 30, $530/70; and Tue, Nov. 7, $1100/100. There is also a 7 card stud 8 event on Wed, Nov. 8, $530/70. The complete schedule for The World Poker Finals is at http://www.foxwoods.com/OurWonders/G...aultPage.aspx#

Too bad I live in Oklahoma and only have 3k in my Bankroll. I'd love to try a live stud event.

I played in the stud/8 tournament last year. Despite twice hitting quads I failed to money. I'll definitly try to get there again this year.

Three thousand is plenty. Air fare would be like $300-400, a couple hundred to rent a car, another couple hundred to stay at a hotel in Absecon, and $890 to play in the two tournaments. And you'll still have like a grand left in your roll on the off chance that you don't cash.

I like that it is an off chance. If there is a tourney near me I'd do it (too bad like 30 people in the state play stud).
