Re: Is the Continental Breakfast the worst idea ever?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] No, I do have to eat it, because when I'm in a hotel I want a buffet, but instead I get gay juice, an apple, and a bowl of (typically unsugared) cereal. I am not just talking about hotels though. [/ QUOTE ] I got some of that once. Did yours come through a hole in the wall? [/ QUOTE ] awesome |

Isn't it? Hotels need to [censored] abandon this [censored]. [/ QUOTE ] No, because if the hotel you're at is cheap enough to give continental breakfasts you probably won't get a buffet, you'll get nothing. |

Re: Is the Continental Breakfast the worst idea ever?
[ QUOTE ]
It's also an odd name. Which continent do they mean? Do they mean intercontinental? Doesn't matter waht cantinent your on, it's still a crappy breakfast. [/ QUOTE ] The European continent. French, Italians tend to eat an assortment of meats, cheeses, breads for breakfast. What we typically eat is the American version of the English Breakfast--eggs, sausuages, bacon, etc. I got the chance to try a real English Breakfast at an expensive hotel in London a while back. I was very excited about it. Everything was kind of like what an American would be used to, but slightly different, and a lot more greasy and disgusting--for about $36--a real steal. Note: my disdain for English Breakfast is all based on my extremely small sample size consisting of the Marriot Rennassaince by the airport. |

Re: Is the Continental Breakfast the worst idea ever?
Not long ago they provided nothing. I agree they suck, but they are better than nothing.

The trick is getting to the breakfast before all the good [censored] is gone. Don't roll up 5 minutes before it shuts down and expect to find anything good left.
