I would say the odds of Mets collapse was less likely than the Yankees collapse. However, the change in probability of winning the World Series was much more for the Yankees, so I would rank Yankees losing 4 straight as worse. [/ QUOTE ] 100% correct The Yanks losing 4 straight is worse due to the circumstances surrounding it from the perspective of the fans and teams. But objectively, the Mets choke job this season was the worst.

Worse Yankees
Most unlikely Mets. This has been said before but stuff like Oilers vs. Bills or Arizona vs. Illinois was a much more unlikely come back. So few teams come back from 3-0 because they are usually completely outclassed, but in this case the Yankees won three coinflips and the Red Sox won the next four.
