For some reason hero is very confident about his fold and I am not sure why.

to Add: Ok I say where he says it might not be the right play.

You know I didn't even notice that he had the nut spade. Still, the problem with this is that you're completely disregarding the possibility that one of them is pumping a flush draw.

Also, it is very correct to peel vs. kk/66.

45 BB in the pot. Figure only 47 after the river and you are getting 47:1 to draw to 2 outs. 42 cards in the deck, 21:1 on the call. It is OK to call 2 bets on the turn in this situation

It is equally very correct to peel vs AK/66:

45BB in pot, you're chopping 46BB if you and other AK hit a 4 outer. 23:1 on the call. With 8 known cards, 42 cards remain, 4 of them help, so 10.5:1 that you get there. Ok to call 2BB in this situation, however, if you do, then you shouldn't be up against 66/AK.

The only time you should be folding is if one of them has AA. (or if the 2 players take you aside and explain they are about to charge you 4bets to see the river.)

Do you see how you misplayed it now? Your chop math is figuring for calling 3bets. We don't really know this is going to happen as we have AK and we are tempted not only to stop raising, but to stop calling. It would seem likely that if your 2p2 friend also has AK, he's thinking the same thing.

2 bet/fold here for info. you either competing for half the pot or wb (2 outs or drawing dead). i don't see the solid player making it 3 bets on the turn with worse than top 2.

this would've been a lot easier if the 2+2er (sb) led turn and we saw mp act first.

[/ QUOTE ]

yay for someone having top/2nd top set.

i think folding at some point on the turn is good, but not where i did fold - i expected lots of action and i didnt want to be caught up with my hand, but i definitely should have seen how dave and A T were going to play it...

i think i should have called A T and folded if it came 2 more back to me, but called down if A T just called the c/r down from that point, and payoff in hopes of a chop on river...

what do ppl think about that line rather than the one i chose... or do ppl advocate sticking with the hand even for 2 more on the turn in hopes of kk/66 and ak/ak

{as a side note, i think your input on A T not being solid is probably more correct than mine, but i didnt have much history with him aside from a few passively played hands he let me sweat - i open his range significantly after this hand}

AT is probably one of the weakest regular players at the CP 30 game. Ace6 suited would be right in his sweet spot. Folding top two pair and nut redraw seems pretty weak to me.
