Default Re: river fold

whenever an opponent takes this wierd line i seem to drastically underplay my hand when strong and still payoff when behind... for example, i typically call here with A-rag often enough for it to be a loosing play, and against many opponents i wont 3bet even with A4

thinking about it from villain's standpoint, against a thinking opponent who pays off too much this could be an excellent way to maximize value and reduce risk

anyone who does well against this type of awkward line, i would be interested to hear how you approach it

i'm sure i'll hear 'c/r flop' from pbob, but lets assume we get to this river spot where villain checks behind turn and river doesnt bring in a draw... any standard approach, i typically bet-call everything aside from an absolute monster
