cp 30
very wild post flop game, with lots of limping preflop... 4 limps, lp raises, hero calls with As5s in sb, all call... lots to the flop
Ah 4s 9d - top pr, runner fd/sd checks to preflop raiser who bets, hero calls, and to hero's surprise everyone folds behind... turn 5c hero c/r, and is 3-bet... the pfr is quite tight... not overly agg either... hero... |

Re: cp 30
[ QUOTE ]
turn 5c hero c/r, and is 3-bet... the pfr is quite tight... not overly agg either... hero... [/ QUOTE ] is he the type of "tight" player that makes the correct move of 3 betting for value when he's ahead and getting a free show down with a hand like AK or AQ when he is behind? I used to see this a lot in the 20-40 at commerce and it took me a long time to catch on. A TAG guy with AK or AQ here who thinks he is behind but has never folded TP / TK in a limit game in his life will 3 bet in hopes of getting a free show-down against a superior hand. In his mind, if you don't take him to value town on the river with your two pair, by three betting the turn it cost him the same amount of money as making a crying call on the river + he can suck one extra bet from you if he spikes a king. Just a thought. I think as played you 3 bet... too many times you'll be against a strong ace who will disgustinly call down. Realistically... the case aces or 99 is the only hand you're worried about. I don't think there is any way a tight player raises with all those limpers infront with one of the small pairs that could have made him a set. I think he just limps along looking for a small set. |

Re: cp 30
i'm very worried about 99, not so much AA since i have one... i dont think this player raises A9s maybe not 99 either after the limps etc - i've played a lot of online recently so i am berserk agg for live lately, but i was going to 4-bet or sexy non 9/k river, or at least donk the river etc - also, i dont think i fold river 9 simply because pot is too big, and if he is willing to 3-bet A-big in this spot, he may be willing to pop A4s preflop and my whole read is off...
