ansky, I'm a donk and I won't presume to tell you that you played hand x badly, but maybe you can tell me your reasoning for this:

River (board: Ts Qd 8h As 7s):

maxEmus125 bets $1200. ansky451 goes all-in for
$10238. maxEmus125 goes all-in for $6711.50.
ansky451 is returned $3526.50 (uncalled).

Showdown:

ansky451 shows 2s 3s.

What non-flush hands call your overbet here?

[/ QUOTE ]

I have played thousands upon thousands of shorthanded NL hands w/ maxEmus and I fully expected to get called by MOST 2 pair hands, sets/ and all straights.

Pre-flop:

aBnarf folds. ansky451 raises to $175. Batera
folds. maxEmus125 calls.

Flop (board: Ts Qd 8h):

maxEmus125 checks. ansky451 bets $300. maxEmus125
calls.

Turn (board: Ts Qd 8h As):

maxEmus125 bets $600. ansky451 calls.

River (board: Ts Qd 8h As 7s):

maxEmus125 bets $1200. ansky451 goes all-in for
$10238. maxEmus125 goes all-in for $6711.50.
ansky451 is returned $3526.50 (uncalled).

I see what you mean. God, I don't think I could handread for crap at these stakes, I would *never* put my opponent on the flush given how that played out, looking at the betting patterns it screams straight/set to me. With the arrival of a 3rd spade I figured he'd be able to lay it down, but apparently you guys are more aggressive there? Whereas I'm uberaggressive in the micros at 17/14/4, what kind of PT stats are you seeing pretty typically in 25/50?

Oh, and in response to your question, no 25/50 is not rigged, but the more aggressively and maniacally you play, the more often you'll notice runner runner flushes because normally you can fold out the backdoor draws with potsize bets on the flop in the lower stakes. More maniacal hands played=more maniacal drawouts, that doesn't mean that the ratio is changing.

To all people who are saying i played a hand poorly, i welcome you to be specific and tell me why i played a hand poorly.

Fair enough but it is 25/50 and it is not uncommon to see people put in 4 bets w/ air here.

[/ QUOTE ]

The fact that you had 160BBs makes this a bad play, especially against an unfamiliar opponent.

The way this hand went down - he puts in the third raise and you both have a lot of money left - makes your shove pretty awful IMO.
