Re: bellagio chips
Most (if not all) strip casinos will cash each other's chips, although it will probably take a little bit of time if you're cashing $1k+ chips. They will call the other casino and try to verify your identity, etc.
I've seen a guy get denied cashing Bellagio $25k chips at Venetian fwiw. |

Re: bellagio chips
A few weeks ago I tried to change a $1k Bellagio chip at the main cage at the Wynn and the lady didn't make it easy, she insisted on having my MGM players card number to call and check with Bellagio if they had any record of my chip purchase. I walked away, since there wouldn't have been any such record.

Re: bellagio chips
pokernews on the $5K lowball rebuy event:
[ QUOTE ] The "Other" Chips at the Ready Players are not allowed to rebuy in cash. They can use the Rio's chips to rebuy or, oddly enough, Bellagio chips. A number of players have $5,000 Bellagio chips stacked at the ready for rebuys. [/ QUOTE ] |

Although I don't think they need a record of "purchase" though, since I won those chips on the poker table. They just want to verify that you have some history of playing. |
