Yuck - folding 2nd pair for $29 in a $140 pot?

pre-flop - you could make a case for simply calling for set value here, but a 3-bet is fine as well given villain's stats and the fact that he's in the steal position.

flop - c-bet is fine, but once he calls I'm done with the hand unless you have a strong read that he likes to float flops like this.

turn - you need to decide before you bet almost 2/3 of your remaining stack if you're committed or not - if you're not willing to stack off here, then don't bet.

well you should certainly fold after he raises you.

Otherwise:

- I 3 bet a bit more than pot preflop, maybe 13
- I c-bet a bit less in a reraised pot, maybe 15 in that 24.5 pot. Anyone comment on that?

- A second barrel is optional (otherwise I check-fold) but I do it some of the time

I just saw it was only $29 more. Are we ever ahead here though? Anyway I actually think this is good advice, better than mine:

I really cant see how I'm good here even at 4 to 1 given my aggression on three streets. I'm screaming big pair here. I think he's got a set or possibly AA.

Even though it's only 29 more, we're almost never ahead here. For the strength we've shown already, when he raises the turn, we now know we're behind and chasing two outs. Therefore we CAN fold for the turn raise.

ok so the turn fold seems reasonable. what about our turn bet? check folding seems so weak, however I cant like his flop call. these are always tough for me.

He has AA, or a set here always. Maybe KK. Problem is a so many 100NL players still call with a wide range (at least wider than I would call with, 66,77,88, AK, AQ, even AT) on the flop so you don't really know you're beat until he raises the turn.

Some recent CR video (CTS I think) talks about cbetting less in 3 bet pots so I guess this is your solution. Keep the pot smaller.

edit: when I say cbet less I don't mean less often. Just make your cbet smaller here.
