It is. I stopped reading at the second line: "BEWARE The money dries up when the recruiting stops." Learned Hand couldn't have defined a pyramid scheme any better. As for OP, he's too happy to be associated with Michigan and his anti-drug rant was lame. In general, his reaction was just uncool. Pretend like you've seen idiots trying to sell something before and maybe try to get laid. However, as a proud ex-wrestler, I can say that it would not be a good idea to fight a wrestler who knows how to punch. So, OP could have kicked the guys ass, but he did not manage the situation such that it was unnecessary to bring that fact up.

I almost got conned into a similiar scam w/ ACN. So this girl, Nicole F., whom I was friends w/ and worked w/ at the casino near us. I was a dealer, she, a waitress. Calls me one day out of the blue (I hadn't seen her at work in several weeks) and tells me about this great company she works for. Bla bla bla, tells me about how good of an opportunity it is and how I would be great for it. I'm kind of flattered at first, then come to find out she has told it to 3 other people, one of which is my roomate. She wanted me to come to her house to talk w/ her and her boss. When I conferred w/ my roomie and found out he got the same story, I was pissed.

I basically made an ass out of her at work in front of many people when she asked a few friends from work to get in on it. I told her it was a pyramid scheme and a complete joke to which she started yelling at me in a packed room. I more or less laughed in her face and told her how pathetic she was to do this to people that were her friends.

I guess though her boss DOES make 250kish per year. But if there's a hell, they're both gonna burn in it.

FTC says that it's your job to determine which are illegal and which aren't. How nice of them:

Either way ACN is one of the worst and scummiest out there. Only lowlifes work there.
