2/4 mid-set in a limped pot
I'm fairly new to the table so no reads. Effective stacks = 400.
3 limpers infront of me, I'm on the button with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and call. SB completes and BB checks. Flop: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB 2/3 pots ($16). Folded to me and I make it $48. SB re-raises me to $150. I.... ? Obviously his hand range is wide here anything from two pair, pair + straight draw, sets, made straight, etc. What's the best line to take to maximize my value when ahead? |

Re: 2/4 mid-set in a limped pot
Hmmm, sure looks like a monster to me. I dont think he's making this play with a draw in an unraised pot OOP. I'm not sure what the best line is here as they all seem alright. You aren't getting immediate odds vs a straight or 55 (of course) but you are way ahead of 22 which is another likely hand.
Folding seems weak but maybe its right. I don't like calling 100 and folding to a blank turn push (which is inevitable). All in seems kinda silly here. I cry and fold. I say this now but I know I shove if I was in this situation. |

Re: 2/4 mid-set in a limped pot
I dont call because i dont want to think myself into a fold on turn.
I dont fold because its middle set. So I shove. But folding may be right move. |
