He could have an ace or a Q with a better kicker so I call . For the river I'm going for a check/call because if I bet and get raised there a big chance he has a Q with a better kicker (theres 8 over and just 4 under to mine).

Aggression numbers would make your reads better. If he has a Q it is better than yours and if he never raises you can probably figure he has AQ.

Bet out on the river if you get called on the 3 bet and call a reraise if it comes.

Now what about the flop play, in a thread from yesterday Miles suggested that 4 handed betting the flop in a similar situation with an ace on board is bad.

because he has A3 but he's raising because now he chops with A4? does he have a worse Q? a draw?

i would call down. the only thing i see that makes sense to 3bet against is a FSDR.


edit: i agree that the flop bet is meh. the problem is, if we check and someone bets, we have to fold, and that's boring.

btw is there an easy way to look this up while playing back hands in PT other then selecting his name from the players list and then look at the general info tab?
