I just played the most frustrating game. My Broncos vs. the Jags. Guy is good 160ish-100ish but I consider myself to be above average. Long story short he wins 21-20 after he block my extra point to tie (he got offsides penalties on two previous kicks that were also blocked.) I felt so cheesed the whole game. He methodically marched down field every time. Also, he went 6 for 6 on fourth downs.

To put things into perspective I had the rock for a whopping 3:55.

This game is so fun.

This game is ret-ah-ded. Jetpacking/user catching absolutely destroys this game online. User catching against single coverage can be essentially perfected. Double takes more skill, but doubling up two WRs every play just means you get butt-[censored] by the TE slants and runs. Broken as always, thanks Madden.

For those who want a realistic game I recommend Leaguedaddy.com, they have SIM leagues where there are anti-cheese rules etc, and you play out a whole season as one team, keep the records in the site.

I too have griped a ton about turnovers, but watching Week 1 of the NFL made me think it's perhaps not unrealistic. They definitely punish you more for bad passes and not covering up the ball, I'm trying to adjust by playing more conservatively and making sure not to throw to the badass defenders. gamertag is goldseraph79 if anyone wants a game.

Yeah I've played in a sim league for the last few years. It's a lot of fun especially when you get competitive divisional matchups at the end of the season and stuff.

can somebody suggest a playbook that does a good job spreading the ball around with short, safe passes?

Just bought Madden for 360, not blown away but not disappointed either. One thing that is really bothersome is the amount of turnovers, which was probably mentioned somewhere in this thread. I played the first two games of the season on All Madden and I had 7 and 6 defensive INT's and a lot of fumbles too. It seems like the AI is really bad, especially at the passing game. I was playing with the Browns and was just crushing the CPU, and I'm not even good at this game. Oh well, I'll still probably play it a lot.

The West Coast one, if they still have the preset ones, I haven't checked in 08.

They offer the West Coast offense for PS2.
