Default Worst movies of all time

All choices must be justified.

1. American Splendour - I was bored and it was a new film on so I went to see it with two friends, we walked out after around an hour.

Are old jewish lady taking years and haggling at the checkout funny? Really?

There wasn't a single laugh in this film, not even a smile moment. The acting was all round terrible and the jokes were so cliched. Maybe it was funny three decades ago when the comic book first came out but its just awful.

2. Love and a Bullet

Someone bought this me on DVD - I dont know why.
Its got a failed rapper ( Treach - who? I don't live in the US so I don't know if he had any chart success ).

Think Mr and Mrs Smith in the hood with wannabe gangstas.
Awful, just terrible.

I must point out Manos: The Hands of Fate. This movie was ripped apart on Mystery Science Theatre 3000, but it stands apart from the rest for its amazing levels of delightful badness. You gotta watch it twice- once with the MST3K commentary and once without. I doubt very many movies could contend with Manos in this regard.

My vote goes to The Norseman with Lee Majors. It had a black Viking for Christ's sake.

Walked out of 'Running Man' feeling like I had just been raped. Having been a huge fan of the book (ok, short story), I could not believe how badly they mangled it. Although a few people I know who hadn't read it, thought the movie was decent.

'Iron Eagle' and 'American Anthem' - 2 of the dumbest movies of all time. Please rent these!

'Jay & Silent Bob' - Yeah, I know some of you probably worship this flick, but I couldn't believe just how dumb it was. Strangely enough, my wife thought it was hilarious. Now I question my marriage...

Battlefield Earth would be my nomination.

The thing is, I LOVE science fiction. If a movie has aliens and lasers and stuff I'm pretty much all over it, even if the story sucks, the acting is bad etc. I still find ways to enjoy nearly every sci-fi movie out there.

Yet, Battlefield Earth instantly bored me. It felt like a bad episode of Babylon Five that kept dragging on and on and on. I ended up half watching most of the movie and finally turning it off with about twenty minutes left.

Blue Velvet. Only film I've ever walked out of. Just stupid over-rated junk for film junkies who need a film that makes them feel clever in liking.
