NL20 - 44 and tricky preflop action
Titan Poker Corydon 0.10/0.20, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker
Button ($19.75) SB ($21.31) BB ($18.60) UTG ($62.68) UTG+1 Hero ($29.23) CO ($52.12) Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 4 4 UTG calls 0.20, Hero raises to 1, 4 folds, UTG raises to 3, Hero ? This guy is a tight player, and I am pretty sure he wouldn't limp in with a big pair. I had been quite aggressive in the last couple of hands on the table, so he might just make a stand to stop me for raising all the time. I put him on a low pocketpair, but what I should do now? Raising to 9$ could make him to lay the hand down, but on the other hand he might move all-in, and my hand is not good enough to call. Raising myself all-in would make him to fold those low PPs, but if he limped in with a big one I am going to get crushed. Or should I just fold and find a better spot? Calling isn't an option, because every flop is dangerous to me and I don't have odds for trying to get the set. A little advice would be welcome. His play screams AA. You played it fine upto now but now you have to fold

Re: NL20 - 44 and tricky preflop action
I have been lurking long enough to see a lot of threads about limp RR UTG. It usualy is AA or KK. Small percentage QQ. If you don't have the odds to fish for a set just fold.

Re: NL20 - 44 and tricky preflop action
Forgot to tell that I had seen him playing KK from UTG+1 by raising, so I don't think he would limp in from UTG with a big pair. But maybe you are right, and there are definitely better spots to get his money. Would be fun just to use all of them. :P

Re: NL20 - 44 and tricky preflop action
Well if you've raised the last three hands preflop he might have wanted to trap with AA/KK, thinking you'd raise like a maniac with any two.
