Default Being able to change time zones on a poker program?

This is such a small thing that I'd thought would have been included in some update to Stars and Full Tilt. Is there some valid reason we can't change our timezone to Central, Pacific, etc so that the times match up perfectly with local time? Or even an option to take off the 24-hour military clock time? This seems like something very simple, and I have no idea why any site hasn't had anything like it that I have seen. The 24 hour thing has always been a minor annoyance, but recently I went to the west coast and it was more annoying having the times on all the sites being so far off.
