Default Howard Lederer weight problem?

Watching HL on poker after dark right now, and it looks like he's gained a significant amount of weight. I know he had problems when he was younger, but over the past couple of years he had slimmed down, but now this seems like a really drastic gain.

I was thinking the same thing earlier. He was a pretty heavy guy until fairly recently, he had gastric bypass surgery and lost the weight around 5-6 years ago..

But he does look a lot bigger than he has in the past couple years.

That's the thing with gastric bypass...you can gain the weight back.
It's not a final solution, it's only a temporary fix so you can address the real problems behind your weight gain.

Howard would not be the first person to gain weight back after such a procedure.

Kind of puzzling given that the man is a vegetarian and the rest of his family is far from huge.

I think Robert Williamson is in the same boat. He was really really heavy and lost like over 100 lbs. He's been very slim the past few years, but recently it appears he's gaining it back like Lederer.

I never heard Lederer had the surgery, just that he lost alot of weight. Although given how much he lost, having the surgery is probably what happened.

I know many people who have had the surgery and their lives are a living hell. They cant eat more than a dollup of food without throwing up. One woman has lost so much weight her hair has fallen out and she looks near death. Doctors who specialize in it just want more $$, that's all. Reserve the surgery for 400 lb +. Even Doyle looks terrible, have you seen him?
