Re: TS $5k ME hand vs g-p
with all due respect to GP, it's GP
anything he has on the flop that is big enough where he thinks he can gg an overpair, hes going to put more chips in if he has anything else for marginal value, he is capable of floating it or playing it for marginal value by the turn on the river, he can take that entire range and turn it into a bluff. thats just his style, but its unfair to make that critique bc ur assesment is "internet lag" and its a big time guessing game on ur part where id usualyly fold. however its gp, so callaclaclaclaclacalalcal |

Re: TS $5k ME hand vs g-p
gp is definitely ill but i really think u guys are overestimating his craziness here. he raised utg at a full table and called a 3-bet, then c/c'd a 345 flop...he's not floating with air here very often imo. not really sure what he's got here that beats us so i'd prob call. i also don't like pf at all, i flat here for sure.

Re: TS $5k ME hand vs g-p
I think that this is a REALLY easy call as he is betting this river to knock you off your pocket pair often enough to make it a no brainer.

Re: TS $5k ME hand vs g-p
without the read that gp thinks you suck, this is such an easy fold

Call. You only have to be right 26% of the time.

Re: TS $5k ME hand vs g-p
I think this is a terrible spot for g-p to be bluffing. Your hand looks like a big pair or big ace checking behind to induce bluffs on the end, and barring some sort of history there's no reason he would ever expect you to fold either of those hands to this bet. Of course sometimes people make bad bluffs when they realize "omg only way I can is to bet", but I'd expect g-p to be better than that.

Re: TS $5k ME hand vs g-p
facts:
this is the most standard call ever this is gp who is good at poker and knows this gp makes a tiny bet on the river and we're supposed to be happy about calling? we beat exactly like TT/JJ going for thin value, i can't imagine he'd ever bluff here without the history between him and ogre to validate such 4th level thinking |

facts: this is the most standard call ever this is gp who is good at poker and knows this gp makes a tiny bet on the river and we're supposed to be happy about calling? we beat exactly like TT/JJ going for thin value, i can't imagine he'd ever bluff here without the history between him and ogre to validate such 4th level thinking [/ QUOTE ] TT/JJ may be betting here, but definately not for value. It is very unlikely JJ is ahead here. OP reraised an UTG raiser, so if he is not mixing it up a lot, he has AK or QQ-AA, or maybe similar weaker hands. The flop gave the ace a gutshot, so OP probably bets strong with either an ace or a big pair. OP might check behind with AK/AQ to draw or with AA to trap. OP's check on the turn represents KK/QQ, but he could be trapping with AA/AK or similar hands. Villain raises UTG and flat calls a reraise, so it is likely he has a medium pp. He could also have AK. There are various other unlikely scenarios, such as he slowplayed AA/KK or raised/called a suited connector. If he knows what he is doing, he is not raise/calling AT or KQ. Villain might have called on the flop with either a middle pp or AK. He also might small bet the flop with either. The small bet could either be please call me with your QQ/KK or a bluff to fold KK/QQ and have a few chips left. I would call. I think you are probably beat, but not beat 3/4 of the time. |
