Default Why would Bud Selig watch Bonds?

It seems on ESPN they constantly make a big deal of the fact that Bud Selig won't be attending Giants games in an attempt to watch his record setting home run. Doesn't Bud have day to day buisness he has to take care of. What if Bonds goes on a 10 game home run slump. Should he cut out a half month of his job to follow the Giants around? It does not make sense for him to go. He does not go to any other record breaking moments as far as I know. I feel like this is forced anti-Bary Bonds sentiment, does anyone feel otherwise?

Umm... This is the day-to-day business that Bud needs to be present for. This will be the biggest thing that happens in baseball all year, and you think he has memos to attend to?

So the reason he won't attend this is only because of the steroid issue? It just confuses me why he is doing this.

Well I'm pretty sure that if there was no steroid issue that he would certainly be attending as this would be getting alot more attention, so yes.

I guess I am just way off on this subject here. My bad for wasting everyone's time.

If attending these types of moments is standard operating procedure it is a really poor play on Bud's part to not attend the games IMO.

Are they still going on about Aaron being there? Trying to put that to rest w/ his interview at the all-star game was one of the classier things I've ever seen Bonds do.
