I believe I remember you making this argument before, but I can't remember your points. If you feel like it, please make the argument again: if voting is a waste of time, why would convincing people to vote a certain way not also be a waste of time?

[/ QUOTE ]

amount of time voting : chances of one vote altering the outcome
V
amount of time convincing X number of people to vote a certain way : chances of the sum total of people you convince changing an election (also the number of people they convince and so on)

These are different ratios.

Do you have your own private jet or something?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, that would require about $4M more than that plane costs.

Troll elsewhere.

[/ QUOTE ]

You troll elsewhere.

What exactly do you stand for? You claim to be an anarchocapitalist, but you are attending campaign rallies of a statist, and even paying money to attend the event. I called you out on your support for Ron Paul in the past and you claimed that you merely wanted others to hear what he has to say. But now that you are attending his campaign rallies and paying money to have lunch with him, that argument doesn't fly anymore. Combined with the fact that you work for the government, you are one of the biggest hypocrites on this forum.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, I am a giant hypocrite. We established that in a giant thread, stsrted by me.

Now, troll elsewhere. Please. With a cherry on top.

Essentially; individually voting is a waste of time, but lobbying etc may not be.

Thanks for the assist.

But the "sum total" of people voting a certain way is dependent on each individual voting. I still don't see how one can be in favor of advocating people vote a certain way when one thinks voting is a sham and thus a waste of time.

[*] voting is a waste of time[*] democracy is immoral[*] defensive voting probably isnt immoral (clarification/modification of earlier psition)[*] bullet points rock

Hope that helps.

Thanks. Don't answer now if the answer is "yes," but are you injured? If so, hope you're on the mend.

And you can likely win 99.9% of your debates with one finger anyway . . .
