I read somewhere when they remodeled the Bellagio, the director bought the entire existing poker room for this movie.

The Bellagio in the movie is the real Bellagio remade in a sound studio.

I just stumbled upon a commercial for this movie. It showed a scene with Drew Barrymore on a golf course walking away, crying, while the guy says, "What are you doing?" and she replies somberly, "Making a good fold." That's how breakups work when you're a pro poker player.

It actually invoked an audible 'ugh' because the line was so terrible. I wanted to puke a little bit.

There was a line about chasing things you can't catch, or something along those lines, that made me feel the same way as well.

I saw a preview at the theater a few months ago and it looked god awful.

They didn't even spare the pseudo drama and showed the father and son HU for the championship. How awesomely formulaic.

No, the best line is when Drew says something about how she thinks everyone in the world is just lonely...actually made me upchuck a little.

Anyway, there is no way this movie will be any good. Its just been in various stages of complete suckdom for the last 2 years or whatever. It's like some fat girl realizing shes hideous and going on a diet, only she doesnt do a good job of it and finally she just says "[censored] it, I don't care if Im hideous im wedging into that dress and going to the prom"
