Blind steal spot
Live 20-40 new game 6 handed. Villain is unk to me, seems avg. Folded to me on button I raise black K9o, he calls in BB.
Flop 962 with diamond dr. He c/r's, I 3 bet, he calls. Turn Qd. Watching him he sees the flop, shoots a look at my hands near my chips, then looks up at me and ch's. I ch behind. River a black A. He bets. I think for about 15 sec and call. Easy? Dumb? Yawn? Standard? Just right? |

Re: Blind steal spot
i would usually bet-fold the turn, but since you don't have a read on this guy, it's okay to check behind and get to showdown cheaply to see what he has.

Re: Blind steal spot
Looks fine to me, usually I bet the turn but given your read and your opponents actions at the time, I think you played it fine.

Re: Blind steal spot
I'd rather bet-fold the turn.

Re: Blind steal spot
He had JT and said "nice call". I was planning to bet any non diamond turn. Funny thing is, when he looked at my hands and then me on the turn, I knew he didn't have diamonds. But ch'd anyway probably because I had planned too.
Agree with consensus that bet/fold was best line. Tx for the responses. |
