I have traveled from a friend's house in Cherry Hill to AC in under an hour before.... did you mean to say round trip perhaps...?

[/ QUOTE ]

Cherry Hill is 25 mins outside of NYC, its far from AC - up to two hours each way.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's not, I live about a mile from Cherry Hill, its within eyeshot of the Philadelphia skyline in parts of the town.

[/ QUOTE ]

No Cherry Hill is just outside of Denver. What's wrong with you people? There cannot be more than one Cherry Hill.

This is standard for New Jersey. I manage a building supply co. out of Trenton, and we cover the entire state. Nothing like driving 1 1/2 hours to Hamilton near AC and finding out the customer meant Hamilton just beside Trenton, which is 10 minutes away from our yard.

Yeah. There are six different municipalities named "Washington Township" in New Jersey, each in a different county.

This has been a nice lesson in New Jersey geography... Now can any dealers respond?

1. Casinos do look to hire dealers who are trained by schools.
2. Any school that promises job placement is lieing (a few of the schools make this false claim). The most they will do is tell you how to get to the hiring centers and may have an employee who happens to work in the casino recomend you.
3. I know some people who went to Professional Dealer School.
4. A new dealer can get hired from the Trop, Hilton, Taj, Showboat, Harrahs, Bally's, and Ceasars. Showboat is the only one currently hiring.
5. You will probably get hired as Part Time on Swing or Grave shift. You would probably get 3 days a week or so but remember that if you are working 9-5, you will have 2 hours of commute time, 8 hours of dealing time, and only another 6 to sleep.
6. Its not a matter of references as much as trying to find a casino that is hiring. There are plenty of dealers in AC and there are very few hirings till they do the spring hiring.
