5/10 DEEEEEP hu hand
300bb deep. At first i thought villain was retarded. Then he started playing "good." Then i found out he was hitting EVERY SINGLE board really hard, so i really don't know what to think about him.
Regardless, he is very straight forward and he has a straight on this turn ALWAYS. I called the turn thinking i had a ton of "outs" since i'll be bluffing any pair and such. I did just lose a HUGE pot on our other table about 2 minutes earlier where i made a tilty bad calldown. Re: 5/10 DEEEEEP hu hand
the river bet is spew imo if you are almost 100% sure he has a straight even if its a high chance he have the lower end.

Re: 5/10 DEEEEEP hu hand
meh... i dont think its horrible, but id rather know he can fold a straight here for sure. A lotta money is in and its not really that much more to call...

[/ QUOTE ] lol, this would be so awesome But seriously, this looks like a standard tilty bad bluff, and you just did a tilty bad calldown on the other table. Your getting looked up by his QJ 95% here imo. |

Re: 5/10 DEEEEEP hu hand
If he has the straight on the turn "always" - then you are drawing pretty slim, and could almost just fold the turn. I mean if he has the Q-high straight, you are drawing to 2 Q's and diamonds - not really a "ton" of outs. Worse yet, if he's straightforward, is he gonna call a push on the river when the diamond draw on the flop gets there on the river? I understand you are calling w/ the intention to bluff some rivers when you miss your draw - but thats a dicey proposition when you put him on a made straight. I'd like calling the turn more if he could have top and bottom pair or something similar as part of his range, that you can improve against in more ways than just diamonds and queens.
As played - i like the idea but in heads up matches people rarely fold top pair, much less a straight - especially w/ that much money in the pot. |
