The view of Christianity is so tainted by bigots like Fallwell who use one or two old testament verses as mantra and preach it amongst a world that has nothing to do with the old testament and then 1) Influences other "Christians" to make decisions based on these "truths" and then 2) Gives tons of reasons to non-believers why Christianity is a judgemental religion that only looks down on others, in turn turning people away from learning about the faith.

He's been horrible for a) The world and b) The Christian faith

Only positive things can come of his death. He was a hypocrite in every sense of the word. Maybe now "Christians" will figure out that Jesus hung out with prostitutes and homosexuals... he didn't judge them.

The most irritating thing about Christianity is that so many think it's grounds to judge others. It's not. And religious leaders need to cut it out.

So ya, I'm not ashamed to say I'm happy he's gone.

I think he's making distinctions in types of judging people. It's one thing to judge someone for being a jerk or hateful, and another to judge them for being short, or brown, or gay, or of a different religion.
