Someone please tell me about Radar Detectors - Page 4

actually one time a cop stopped me and asked if I had a radar detector and I said no. He then said, "we could do this the easy way, you give it to me, or the hard way, I search your car".....so I told him to go ahead and search because I ddin't have one. He declined and left. I guess he's not a very good poker player.

I have about 15 tickets and have been driving for about 14 years.

I finally just bit the bullet and decreased the amount I speed. I use cruise control to help me when I'm not in a stop and go situation.

Smashing into somthing at 35 is A LOT DIFFERENT than hitting something going 55. Trust me man, slow the hell down.

1) on an empty road or start from a light I make sure I'm not the lead car
2) know my speedtraps and generally where cops hang around

the leading radar detectors are the escort passports and the valentine ones. i think most people will say the v-ones are better, but i think its probably too close to call.

if cops use laser, you need a lot more equipment to beat them.

BTW - with your km/hr speed rates you arent from the us? in europe, cops sometimes use a special radar freq. (Ku i think).
