Now if the board were Q72r he might have a set almost all the time here, but this board is so drawheavy, that it is entirely possible that he's on a draw. I don't fold the flop here.

Posssible options are: reraise to about 4.50-5.00 (although i guess you would then have to call his shove which i don't like), or call Flop and lead any turn that doesn't complete a draw.

*grunch*

Raise more preflop. Reraise it to 6 on the flop.

I am 3 betting. There is no reason to think he has a set here. Think about ranges, not specific hands. I am not getting away here, unless I really know this guy. As an aside, think about raising more PF.

0.40 preflop. Then get it all-in asap.

The only hands i beat here are one pair hands though (I folded). Will they stack off with a pair here enough to make it worth it?

Raise more preflop and get the money in on this flop. Poker is not looking good if 10nl players are turning up sets here a lot

He can have a Q, he can have a flush draw, he can have middle pair and think you're c-betting with air. Who says he's going to stack off? A reraise by you telling him you have a real hand may take the pot down. Against an unknown you need to 3 bet this.

I am glad we didnt see this is 10NL shove, comments. I def dont think you can fold this flop at all. I am also all for a large raise PF. By the looks of your name you are prob a sng player moving into some NL cash games. With the stacks being a little deeper we like to raise a little more PF for a number of reasons. As far as improving your results in this situation...you need to probably take better notes and know what your opposition is capable of. You should try and know if this player is going to raise on a flop like this with an AQ type hand, a draw, air, sets (a lot of players at 10NL would slowplay in this spot). I think knowing your opposition is the key to improving your results in spots like this because this is really one of those it depends situations. It depends on your opponents tendencies.
