NL25 - Improper play chasing nut flush?
No real reads on the guy except that he played few hands.
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $30.65 UTG+1: $15.40 Hero: $19.80 MP2: $5.55 MP3: $25.10 CO: $31.10 Button: $24.65 SB: $22.55 BB: $8.35 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $1</font>, 3 folds, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls. Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($3.1, 3 players) BB checks, Hero checks, Button checks. Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($3.1, 3 players) BB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $2.25</font>, Button folds, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $4.5</font>, Hero calls. River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($12.1, 2 players) <font color="#cc0000">BB is all-in $2.85</font>, Hero calls. Results: Final pot: $17.8 I figured that the min-raise on the turn was him hitting his flush but since I have a nut flush and have the odds to call. I guess my question is whether I should have seen this coming with the check on the flop or just chalk it up to a bad beat. thanks |

Re: NL25 - Improper play chasing nut flush?
I CB a paired flop here everytime, but that's besides the point. Anyway, yeah the rest of the hand is fine the guy has less than 40bbs, if he has a FH so be it.

Re: NL25 - Improper play chasing nut flush?
I would probably be cbetting on this flop since it's unlikely to hit them. Calling a minraise on the turn is ok because you're pretty sure that you have 9+6 outs (generously). You hit on the river so it's an easy call since it's a shortstack that shoved. You win this pot much more often than villan will have a FH.
