Default Bret Easton Ellis, one of my new favorite authors.

I know I'm late to the game, but I'm really diggin his books: Less than Zero, Rules of Attraction, and American Psycho. They've been out since the early ninties so I view the fact that we were'nt exposed to them in highschool literature classes, while still being forced to read dated out of touch sutff like "the catcher in the rye", another example of public educations failure.

People are afraid to merge on freeways in Los Angeles.

SJ,

American Psycho is one of my favorite books. Lunar Park, which I believe is his latest, was HORRIBLE.

American Psycho is one of the few books I've ever read whose movie adaption was way better, IMO. I hated that book. I think BEE is sort of a hack.

Sweet - Did you know that Ted Bundy's first dog was a collie named Lassie?

Huh? It is easily his worst book. It does start pretty well, though.

Glamorama is pretty brilliant and underrated although, imo, it is much better after a 2nd reading. The Informers is awesome and a good book to just pick up and read from any spot.

ya, that seems a bit silly. almost as silly as high school kids being mature enough to handle any of the content in BEEs tamest book, let alone figure out the satire.

Unless I'm mistaken, there's a serious lack of Huey Lewis & The News in "Catcher".
