I love donkeys that always slowplay top pair or better and always bluff with worse. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: $250 Bet with a friend
You absolutely want to stick to what you've been doing. It would look way too suspicious(to good players, anyway) if you were to check here. FWIW: I love checking here when I completely miss every so often. Looks so scary.(If I've been c-betting a lot, that is.)

Re: $250 Bet with a friend
Well fwiw, I was the one who felt checking in this spot was better. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for fastplaying my big hands, but this is not the spot. A few key points of note:
1. They are all only $100 deep. 2. They have all insta-folded in the last few rounds. It is clear these players are weak-tight. I honestly think there's way more money to be made IN THIS PARTICULAR SPOT by slowplaying, though. At stakes of $2/4 or higher, I generally lead out given history. But these guys are on level 1 thinking, and I think it's very costly to not "dumb down" our play, as superficial as it may seem to the regular MSNL winners on 2+2 |

Re: $250 Bet with a friend
Build a pot vs. a T/FD whatever. Generally when we have the nuts in unlimited betting texan holding them we like to commit as much money to the pot as possible. Checking does not meet this rule.

Re: $250 Bet with a friend
I'd lead out here vs. most opponents. Best chance of getting big value or stacking a 5, overpair or good T.
People tend to call down a lot on the flop on paired boards vs. aggro opponents with low pairs or even A high. I would consider checking the turn here depending on who my opponents were. |

Re: $250 Bet with a friend
OP, i would've given you like 10:1 on this bet.
another point is that when you check and then later put in a ton of action it becomes pretty clear you have a monster. |
