Here's a second vote for King Of A Small World. It's a decent story with plenty of poker content.

Anthony Holden's Big Deal is also good - not action packed, but still entertaining. I could see how Holden's style is an acquired taste. I found The Biggest Game In Town to be similarly "dry" at times. I chalked it up being a British thing. I felt the same about David Spanier's books, though I liked them as well. I read Holden's book as a very long trip report and enjoyed it in that context.

I agree with you that the ghost writer for that book is very talented. However, I'm boycotting Amarillo Slim. Mostly because he is a child molestor, but also partly because he's a republican.

I'll put in a vote for "All In, The Almost Entirely True Story of the World Series of Poker". If you're interested in the early years of the WSOP, you'll like it. Interesting to see how the main event has developed over the years.

Anyone read Matt Matros' book yet? That's non strategy, right?

How about Lyle Berman's new book? I thought these both looked interesting.

I read the Berman book - very boring. A sloppy hit job of stories, anecdotes, and "wisdom" about his business career and poker. Very little about the formation of the WPT (though the story about Brunson backing out of the deal is interesting). It read as if Berman was a big shot and had only a few hours to relate the book to the ghost author, who didn't have much to go on. I'd recommend passing.

The Matros book is a good read, entertaining. Some good stories, and a good overview of his run in the WPT championship. I read it more for the stories part and not much on the strategy, and enjoyed it.
