6.5/ Bad Play?
UTG and UTG+1 have limped repeatedly and folded to raises. I didn't want to play this hand out of position and the pot was big enough with all of the limpers.

Re: 6.5/ Bad Play?
Pretty bad play, a reraise to 475-550 pretty much does the same thing, which is more or less seeing if the CO or Button is decent here. Your in 3rd/8 and only getting called by at best a coinflip.

Re: 6.5/ Bad Play?
A raise of slightly more than half the pot from the bb? I would give sufficient pot odds for most to call. Any significant raise would commit me to the pot anyway. Would a check be the better play?

Re: 6.5/ Bad Play?
This is the part i find toughest in sngs. If it's 10s or lower i always check in this spot. If it's queens or higher i always raise. Probably not all in, but 3xbb+1bb per limper ... but with Jacks?? who the hell knows. Wish i could help but i just can't. So i guess it's 50/50 either way raise or check. What were the actual results?

Re: 6.5/ Bad Play?
Looks pretty standard to me. Free dead money in the pot.

[/ QUOTE ] So wrong on so many levels. 500 does not accomplish the same as a shove with this many people and chips in the pot. Easy shove > raise. You will get called by smaller pairs, AT/AJ, and random crap here plenty where you won't be forced into a coinflip. Not to mention you still have a good amount of FE to isolate the situation between you and shorties. And even if you're in a coinflip, there's PLENTY of dead monies in the pot. Like I said - EASY shove. |

Re: 6.5/ Bad Play?
i like a shove too
not being result oriented, you actually really get called often by hands like those in your case nh |
