Why don't whoever can control this just do it. If traffic sucks or whatever, you can always just recombine the forums...it seems very simple IMO.

Just pick somewhere to split it (100NL seems to be a good spot - can post in both) and just do it already.

What about letting 100NL post in either forum?

It would be:
2NL-100NL
100NL+

[/ QUOTE ]

As a guy who plays 100 and 200, I know that if we split this way, I'd never post a hand on the 2-100 board.

I agree with the general feeling that 200+, in terms of skill, is the best way to split. However, I think you can argue that most of the 100 posts, at least from regular posters, are looking strictly for input from 200+ players because the people posting them are already the best players at 100-. Even if they aren't at 100NL as often as they are at 200NL, there are more regular posters mixing .50/1 and 1/2 than there are mixing .25/.50 and .50/1.

I agree that 200 is a different game, but IMO, the players posting 100NL hands are typically in a 200NL mindset (if that makes sense). Splitting 100- and 200+ is just going to result in a lack of overall 100NL posts, where splitting at 100+ isn't going to change the number of posts at all.

(I didn't vote for where we should split...I think both sides, 100+ and 200+, have a reasonable argument.)

when you say 200NL is another game, are you talking about general level of every room or just PS and maybe FTP?

I think for people playing in uL 50NL its the level they can reach in a reasonable amount of time and NL100 its a bit out of scope. But, I also understand NL100 its too low for people playing high limits. So, split wherever you want, but please, split .

Probably just the big sites. I have ~1500 total hands on Absolute and Bodog this year, and the play at 100-200 on those sites is considerably worse than even the donkiest 100 table on FTP.

*** Warning Pot-limit ***

I voted for PL100+ because I play that level, sometimes PL200 and want to move up. Also, I found the difference between PL50 and PL100 quite substantial. PL50 is a joke and you just hammer everybody into submission. At PL100 you will run into resistance earlier and more often. But maybe it's different in NL?
