Cuban would be very goood for MLB, much like he has been for the NBA. However I think it would be best for him and his team(s) to focus on just one.

I'm as huge Cubs fan. I would like to see Cuban as owner. Yes, he is a crazy super-fan, but he brings energy and passion to his organization. He is very annoying in the media, and definitely gets way too much attention, but he has built the Mavs in something good out of nothing.

does it need to be an unanimous decision to let Cuban buy the Cubs? or is there a percentage of owners that need to approve?
Also, this would be wonderful, the worst thing for the Cubs franchise is to have an owner who only worries about the bottom line. they know Wrigley is gonna be sold out almost every game no matter what the product on the field is. Im gonna pray that a guy like Cuban buys the Cubbies, Chicago would treat him like a god if he brought a world series to the north side. There needs to be some fan support to show Selig we want Cuban

The bottom line is that money talks. If Cuban has the cash, the Tribune Company isn't going to say no. Especially if Cuban is willing to pay more than the other interested parties. Has there ever been a situation where the owners group in a professional sport has refused to let someone buy a franchise in that sport? If the Tribune Company decides to sell to Cuban, can MLB really stop it?
