AJo vs small stack with 13 left
13 left in a 100$ tourney. first pays 3500, 10th-20th pay 126. i'm the chip leader at my table with 23000, but 5th overall. i haven't really been bullying the table because i haven't had the chance. i open utg at the 6 handed table with ajo to 2400, and get raised all in by the small stack who has like 6000 and is clearly just trying to make 10th for the extra money. the blinds are 400-800. if i win the hand, i move into 4th place in chip standing. if i fold, i stay in 5th. if i lose, i drop to 8th. i figure there's 0% chance he's behind, and he's got AA the majority of the time. i called, thinking that i don't want to create the impression that i'll fold for 3500 more chips.
is this thinking: a) fine b) irrelevang c) dumb d) really dumb |

Re: AJo vs small stack with 13 left
a)
Did you really think he had AA before the flop, or did you assign that tight of a range after the hand was over and knew what the results were? |

Re: AJo vs small stack with 13 left
I don't think your reasoning is good. If you're really confident that he's playing to get into the money, then this is an easy fold.

Re: AJo vs small stack with 13 left
your range is way too tight, this could be TT-AA, AK,AQs maybe even o if your read is right. There is 9,600 in the pot and you need to call an additional 3,600 --call

Re: AJo vs small stack with 13 left
and that range is even too tight. go down to A8- K9. seriously the guy is desperate to get-steal a few chips and this his last opportunity to be taken halfway seriously.next round of blinds and he's too weak. He's got an M of 4ish, this is an insta-call
