Ladbrokes or Pacifiv v\'s Cryptos
After six months off (well, whoring Sportsbooks actually) I've decided to go back to poker. Its much more fun than trawling through the books looking for arbs.
I was thinking to go onto Cryptos (I play $1/2 Limit or $100nl) to use up their monthlies at 5x (I have Rakeback on Sun) but last night it looked very tight. Maybe move up to $2/4 limit? The other option I was considering was to go onto Ladbrokes or Pacific (I remember they are looser sites) but they have no bonus or rakeback. Final choice would be Party, but I guess rakeback there is still not available. Is it? Anyway, if anyone has any insights about how things are going now (I havn't played since January so I've lost touch), please post. Thanks. |

Re: Ladbrokes or Pacifiv v\'s Cryptos
Ladbrokes have their own inhouse rakeback - "cash for points":
http://poker.ladbrokes.com/player_points/promotions/en Crypto is one big nit-fest at your limits, if you do well in these sort of games then $-wise I'd say you are slightly better off there. Can't comment on pacific I'm afraid...though others tell me they are still wonderfully soft. |

No official rakeback for Party.
Crypto games are quite tough, but rb + bonus and you are maybe ahead. I was thinking about looking for arbs. Do you think it's a waste of time? Did you have one of those "arbs alert" (not cheap by the way)? |

Re: Ladbrokes or Pacifiv v\'s Cryptos
The word is that these arb-alert softwares are unlikely to pay back enough unless you are a really high roller, and even then the books will spot you and put limits on your bets. Most guys just hunt for arbs themselves. At least its a guaranteed income. I took me a few days to get the hang of it but now I can do it pretty quickly.

Pacific is better than any rakeback. It's a real donkfest. Millions to be made there.
