Playing in the morning

Does anyone else find that morning sessions are not nearly as successful as evening ones? It makes sense that there would be a lot of worse players at night but I am talking a pretty huge difference here. Whenever I play in the morning it seems like the players are much better overall. Thoughts? This is mostly party poker. I was concidering trying to join a site with more European players or some in another time zone.

Crypto has most of its traffic in the day up to late afternoon, but its pretty tight playing USD. The pound games get pretty crazy though. Check out www.pokersitescout.com to see some numbers for various sites.

I previously made a list of some of the Euro-centric web sites:

Ongame network (PokerRoom)
PrimaPoker network (GamingClub)
Cryptologic network (InterPoker)
Tribeca network (Doyles Room)
Tain network (Pokershare)
Ladbrokes
B2B network (I think)
Boss Media network (I think)

They have their peaks and valleys ~6 hours ahead of the more American-based sites.

I find just as many jackasses on party at 8am PST as I do in the late afternoon/early evening. It's all about table selection though...

I love playing in the morning early afternoon. I play midstakes nl mostly on party poker and there is definitely plenty of europeans. For some reason I guess my style matches theirs well.

I really like playing in the morning and afternoon. I think my A game happens more at those times. At night I have too many distractions - kids, TV, and fatigue.

Yes. I think playing when you are at your best is much more important than playing when your opponents are at their worst.

I disagree as long as you're not tilting.

Making small money off nits is nothing compared to the fleecing of sheep on nights and weekends.

I gotta say, I love playing in the morning. Wake up & play while having my coffee before I go to work.

I wake up at around 5:15 while the drunks on the West Coast are finishing their sessions. Lots of them want to "get action" before they go to bed.

Take advantage of this.

I love mornings. The VPIP always seem to be 50% higher when Euros play. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
