How many would end up cashing if this was filled to the max?

And 11-handed? Blegh.

[/ QUOTE ]

No such problems; only about 600 players showed up. In fact, Harry Demetrieu was so displeased about how short-handed the tournament was at the start (six-handed) that he acted up so much that he was ejected(!!).

Indeed:

Harry Demetrieu, displeased with the short-handed format for today's shootout, starts shouting, "I want my money back right now!" The crowd starts cheering. Mike Matusow shouts, "I'm with you, Harry!" Harrah's employees approach Demetrieu and give him a thirty minute penalty after he shouts that he wants to withdraw and that "It's disgraceful." Soon after, he is ejected from the tournament by Harrah's and cannot return to play. As he's led out of the room, he continues to shout that he's "absolutely disgusted" and "I have been thrown out of the tournament for objecting!"

What a joke. He's mad that the structure isn't what was advertised, and gets thrown out for complaining. Although he probably should have done it right away.

Think Harrah's has some sort of control over the updates to eliminate any "bad" news?

Harry had already made known his displeasure with Harrah's in this post over at the Hendon Mob website. I assume he's looking for Mr. Pollack again.

One Winner Already
Fred Cabral of Atlanta, GA, already won his table less than 45 minutes into round 1.

Talk about an easy payday, 45 minutes of work $~2800.

Edit: Should've taken out the $2k buyin, thanks for noting QS.

It's $2800 if you deduct the buy in, but it's still about $3700 an hour. Nice.

An easier payday is David Singer playing an empty seat headsup, from CP's updates. The hot rumor is that it's Hellmuth.

I'd tuned out of the Cardplayer coverage just before this happened.

Talk about easy living.

ETA: Looks like Singer finished up; CP has his chip count at T12,000. Oops, spoke too soon: they've got it up on the updates bar.
