I would say that at least 5% of the people who play really give it a darn good go with software and constant reviewing of their game.

Do you really think that as high as 5% of players are that dedicated?

if high stakes is defined the same way as it is here (10/20+), then quite a few people do it... although nowhere near 5% of ppl who work hard and effectively on their game

stop reading the books and start putting in tons of hands, spend every waking hour thinking about poker strategy and every sleeping hour dreaming up nonsensical poker situations in a repeating pattern which will drive you insane as the cards flit frustratingly around your mind, learn to piss in a bottle and develop the ability to microwave ready meals without timing out on 19 tables while you dash from kitchen to pc, lose contact with all your acquaintances as you rack up massive amounts of dough while cockslapping any concept of a regular circadian rhythm and play while drunk a handful of times each month so you can take high stakes shots without fear...

duh, never more. For me this phase is over.

I don't care how much I lose because of not dreaming about poker ... but my dreams about big knockers, nice assess and randy girls all around ... are a lot better than the [censored] "NOOOO I HAVE MIS CLICKED FOR ALL MY STACK !!!" dreams.

Really I don't want it back. I like my dream full of knockers much much more

I started at 25nl with $500 almost exactly a year ago, playing 25/50 and 50/100 pretty well rolled now. Never played more than 30k hands in a month either.

i went from 0.05c/0.10c limit to 10/20 limit in 4 months online and then 30/60 to 200/400 live in 8 months. so about a year. played a lot though (250k hands my last 2 months or so online).
