Default Live 1/3 - Did I play my Pocket Jacks Correctly?

Here is the situation. Full Ring Game, 1-3 NL

I am 3 Off the Button (OTB) with Pocket Jacks

OTG folded, 5 OTB went All-In for $10, 4 OTB called,
I went over the top and made it $40 to go.

Everybody folded so I was heads up with the All-In.

Did I play this wrong?

I will tell the result after I get some comments.

Other stack sizes would be nice. Idk how a person is sitting for 3 big blinds but whatev. Considering the info given here, yeah, this seems fine.

LOL. With 25BB effective stacks, it's almost necessary to go broke with Jacks. There are few scenarios where I can imagine getting away from them.

Well here's how it ended.

Flop came 2 2 A

Turn A

River A

So I had Aces full of Jacks

Turns out the guy I drove out with my raise had A 10.

So I missed out on the Bad Beat Jackpot $5K

Opps!!!

lol

idk where this was, but don't bad beat jackpots require both players to be using both their hole cards? You might not have missed out afterall.

I like it alot. I'll do this kind of isolation play with TT-AA/AK if I think the short stack is pushing with a range like 77-AA/AT+/KJ.

The cold caller ahead of you probably can't stand a big reraise, and players behind will probably fold everything except QQ-AA and maybe AK. Some tight players will even fold AK in a situation like that where you make a big reraise.

Vs that range JJ has about 55% equity and once you get heads up you will be risking 10 to win 20 thanks to the cold caller sandwhiched between you and the short stack.

Edit: If you and the cold caller and others in the game only had 80 effective stacks, then pushing instead of raising to 40 would probably be better. It's not as if you can fold if somebody goes all in behind you once half your stack is in the middle.
